Milford


Lincoln Lutheran went into Christian and stole a close game from them. The warriors looked forward to yet another tough opponent in the Milford Eagles. The warriors did not play so well in the first two quarters trailing by six to the eagles. The warriors picked up there play a little and cut it to only three points heading in to the fourth. The warriors would play of there minds and outscore Milford 23-12 in the fourth quarter alone. Crucial threes and free throws were hit in the fourth to give the warriors a 62-54 win over a Milford team that would make it to state. The warriors would move on to 4-0 in the season.

Lincoln Christian


The warriors came off two quality wins the week before and looked to carry the momentum the class C-1 No. 1 Lincoln Christian crusaders. A hostile crowd awaited the warriors as they would need to play one of there best games to come out with a win. A back and forth game would have Lutheran up three at the half. Caleb Canfield came out and hit a few threes in the third had Christian up three after three quarters. The warriors would attack Christian star Justin Bubak and fouled him out with five minutes left in the fourth. The warriors then kept feeding Joshua Richard Puelz and Ryan Hlavaty inside to seal a 58-54 win over the number one seed Christian.

Norfolk Catholic


The warriors momentum would carry over from last game and again started on a 14-0 run to start the game. Norfolk Catholic would try to make a comeback in the second and third quarters cutting the game to just a two point lead for the warriors. Lutheran would pick up the momentum and started knocking down some shots and shutting down the inside presence of Norfolk Catholic. The warriors won 47-37 to win the GICC season opening tournament for the first time in school history.

GICC


Opening night at Lincoln  Lutheran had everyone pumped for the season to start. Grand Island Central Catholic came to town for an exciting matchup. An electric crowd and great energy from the bench saw Lincoln Lutheran get out to a 13-0 run to start the game. GICC tried to make it’s way back, but the warriors never looked back and dominated the game. The final score ended up being 61-39 over a well coached GICC team that would make it to state. The warriors would advance to the championship game in the GICC season opening tournament.
