Richard’s Double Double

Joshua Richard Puelz had a monster sophomore season as a starter. He was putting up double double’s as a sophomore at the varsity level.  For those of you who do not know what a double double is, it is when you have double digits in either points, rebounds, assists, or steals. All of Richard’s double doubles came from points and rebounds. Getting those double doubles has had him on the scouting radar as opposing coaches make game plans to shut him down and prevent him from getting double doubles. Richard was one of the MVPs in the L.I.T. tournament after putting up two double doubles in the tournament. With Richard’s success as a sophomore he looks to build off of it going into his junior and seniors seasons and hopefully draw the attention of college scouts.

ORB

Now many of you might be wondering what O.R.B. stands for. It stands for Offensive Rebound Ball. This is significant to the program because this tradition started about two years ago. Whoever would have the most Offensive Rebounds in a week would receive the ball and would get to write there name on it and keep it for the week. Coaches would keep track of offensive rebounds over a week of games,so that could be one game a week or three games a week. If there would happen to be a tie in the offensive rebounds, coaches would count the number of defensive rebounds between the players that were going for the ball. The ball is really a motivation tool for players to get offensive rebounds, then have a trophy to show for it. ORB ball
